San Bernardino Ward 1: Ron Alvarado Leads Virginia Marquez by 152 Votes

SAN BERNARDINO CITY, California — November 2026 general election. Ron Alvarado leads Virginia Marquez in the election for San Bernardino City Council Ward 1.

Unofficial count

Ron Alvarado 1,215 votes (53.34%) and Virginia Marquez 1,063 (46.66%), a 152-vote margin.

Why the result matters

Ward 1 voters elect one local council representative. The contest is separate from Ward 2 and Ward 4; its ballot count is not a citywide mayoral election. An interim lead of 152 votes could still change as accepted ballots are processed.

These totals are shown in the live NBC Los Angeles San Bernardino County election tracker accessed on November 5, 2026. Its dynamic race figures do not disclose the exact county posting time for each contest. The result is not an independently confirmed newly issued county canvass bulletin and no outcome is certified. The San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters began the canvass November 4 and plans to certify by December 3. Readers should check updated county returns for subsequent changes.
