SAN BERNARDINO — NOVEMBER 5, 2026. Residents who need to authenticate California public documents for use abroad can visit a temporary California Secretary of State Apostille Pop-Up Shop on Tuesday, November 10, without traveling to the agency’s usual Sacramento or Los Angeles service locations.
When and where?
The event will be at the San Bernardino County Hall of Records, 222 W. Hospitality Lane, first floor, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Parking is free. Customers must be in line by 2:59 p.m. to receive service that day, according to the county.
Which documents need an apostille?
Apostilles authenticate certain public records for presentation in foreign countries, commonly in connection with marriage records, adoptions, international legal proceedings and similar transactions. An apostille does not prove the underlying statements in a document are accurate; it authenticates the relevant public official’s seal or signature under the applicable process. Check the destination country’s requirements before visiting.
Payment and preparation
Organizers accept Visa, Mastercard, checks and money orders; cash is not accepted. Consult the Secretary of State’s apostille requirements for document preparation and fee information. The county says routine Recorder-County Clerk services will be limited on November 10 because high demand is expected for the event.
