SAN BERNARDINO — October 26, 2026. The Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino, announced an emergency closure of the San Bernardino Justice Center beginning at noon Monday, October 26, because of a water shutoff. The court said the closure was needed to protect staff and visitors while emergency repair and maintenance work is completed.
People with court business should call first
The court is anticipating reopening Tuesday, October 27, but that date is an expectation, not confirmation that the building has reopened. Court users should check the court’s current notices before traveling, and should not assume an appointment, hearing, jury duty or filing deadline has automatically been cancelled or extended.
For questions the court published separate telephone lines: Civil Information: 909-708-8678; Criminal Information: 909-384-1888; and Jury Administration: 909-884-1858. People with time-sensitive matters should ask about applicable procedures rather than rely on general public announcements.
Which location is affected?
The official notice specifically names the San Bernardino Justice Center, not every courthouse in San Bernardino County. It does not establish a systemwide closure of courthouses in Victorville, Barstow, Joshua Tree, Rancho Cucamonga or other cities.
